Cooking Challenge

I absolutely love cooking and am always looking for an excuse to entertain so that I can cook or bake something!

And because I have a habit of making seemingly silly decisions on snow days, (last year during a snow day I decided to train for a half-marathon) last week when we were buried under a foot-and-a-half of snow I came up with a cooking challenge.  A quick look at my bookmarked recipes will reveal that I have an addiction with Jessica’s recipes on How Sweet It Is and so I started thinking…what if I made a How Sweet recipe a day for a year?

This challenge isn’t limited to just main dishes for dinner, but breakfast, snacks, breads, desserts, appetizers, and the list goes on and on.  And this challenge is definitely not limited to food that I will consume (I will be cooking a lot, so I will need to share)!  So here are the rules of the challenge (I think…these are subject to change at my discretion)

1. Each day I will prepare one recipe from How Sweet’s blog (The exception to this will be if I am on vacation and do not have access to cooking facilities in which case I will make extra recipes ahead of time and when I get home to make up for the number of days I am away)

2. Each day I will share what I make so that if you are looking for a recipe for your upcoming entertaining you’ll have a recipe to try

3. This challenge will last from February 1, 2011 – January 31, 2012
